This collection contains three file folders with information regarding the family tree of Samuel Jackson Keith.

This collection is composed of one box with thirteen folders and one book within. Researchers will find materials from Herefords’ education, including her doctoral thesis, as well as materials from her tenure at Vanderbilt University. Furthermore, there is a large compilation of photographs of both her and her peers archived in the collection. Finally, there is correspondence to Hereford and condolences following her death.

Abstract

The Alma Elizabeth Gault Papers (.84 linear feet) contains writings by Alma Gault including correspondence, speeches and addresses, journal articles, and class notes and papers from her days as a student at the University of Chicago. Additionally, the collection includes meeting minutes and reports, awards, clippings, photographs and a tape recording of Alma Gault Day.

Scope and Content The Frederick Wightman Moore Papers consist primarily of correspondence, research and lecture notes, and various writings from his career as Professor and Dean at Vanderbilt University. The collection contains 0.834 linear feet of materials. The correspondence, notes, and writings found in the collection provide a summary of Dr. Moore’s interests, specifically the teaching of History. This collection contains the papers of John Thomas McGill (1851-1946), longtime faculty member and Dean of the School of Pharmacy at Vanderbilt. He also served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Tennessee Academy of Science for 15 years.

The Robert A. McGaw Papers are comprised of four series; Vanderbilt University, Designs, Writings and WWII. The papers follow closely McGaw’s career and are important to anyone interested in the history of the university. Of special note is the Design Series where McGaw assisted in re-designing the symbols of the university in the 1970s.
