This collection contains correspondence, photographs, poems, and other items related to WWI and Sidney Acker.

The Burge Plantation Spirituals Collection, 1920-1929, consists of approximately 600 spirituals sung by the descendants of enslaved workers on Burge Plantation, recorded by Dorothy Gray Bolton, 1880-1964, descendant of Burge Plantation owners, and annotated by composer Harry T. Burleigh, 1866-1949, and photographs of the African American men and women who lived and worked at Burge in the early twentieth century.

The Centennial History record group contains materials for writing a university history. It includes administrative paperwork from the Centennial History book project that began in 1970 and collected research clippings and interviews.

The Charles Stewart Jazz Portraits Collection consists of five photographs of jazz musicians taken in the 1960s by the African-American photographer Charles “Chuck” Stewart (1927-2017) in New York, including photographs of Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton, and Roy Eldridge.

The Delta Kappa Epsilon collection, 1847-2009, consists of correspondence, minutes, and promotional materials related to the Gamma Chapter of the fraternity.

The John B. Lomax Collection contains 54 photographs documenting the African-American soldiers of the 3067 Quartermaster Salvage Collecting Company in training in Wyoming during WWII, with almost all of the photographs annotated with humorous remarks and identifications of the images. There is also a photostatic copy of discharge papers.

The Mike Longo Papers, 1937-2020, consist of the tapes, music charts, and papers of jazz pianist and composer Mike Longo, 1937-2020.

The Office of LGBTQI Life collection, 1963-2022, consists of the papers, correspondence, and notes of the Office of LGBTQI Life at Vanderbilt.

This .21 linear feet collection is comprised of 22 photographs, in 13 file folders, taken between 1899 and 1902 of Alice Parr, her classmates, and a University of Nashville school building. The photographs are in alphabetical order where identified, otherwise grouped by date.

The Stax Records Promotional Photographs collection consists of 48 promotional photographs of artists and musicians from the 1960s represented by the now legendary Stax Records Co. Studio in Memphis, including photographs of Otis Redding, Carla Thomas, Staple Singers, Sam and Dave, Johnie Taylor, Booker T. & The M.G.’s, The Bar-Kays, Isaac Hayes, Eddie Floyd.

The University Press record group, 1910-2023, consists of manuscripts, published books, photographs, correspondence, and administrative records of Vanderbilt's University Press.

This collection contains photographs taken by Victoria Webb as the result of her involvement with the women’s liberation movement in Nashville during the 1970s and with the publication titled Women’s Free Express.
