Saint Eligius, Statue of Saint Eligius, the 7th century bishop of Noyon and Tournai within an elaborate niche outside the Orsanmichele in Florence. Saint Eligius stands in his bishop vestments, mitre and crosier. Like the other statues outside the Orsanmichele, his feet are slights akimbo with his left foot slightly forward. He holds a book in his left hand, likely a bible., ca. 1420, Photographed in 2309

Saint Peter, Statue of Saint Peter, one of Jesus' apostles, within an elaborate niche outside the Orsanmichele in Florence. Saint Peter stands in Greco-Roman garb. Like the other statues outside the Orsanmichele, his feet are slights akimbo with his left foot slightly forward. He holds a book in his left hand, likely a bible and a set of keys in his right.
