This collection contains two items related to the Vanderbilt Girls' Club, dated 1909-1913.

Scope and Contents The Harold Stirling Vanderbilt Collection consists of materials transferred to Vanderbilt University from the Manalapan, Florida estate “Eastover” after the death of Vanderbilt’s widow Gertrude Conaway Vanderbilt. Spanning the years from approximately 1900 to 1978, it contains linear feet of materials. Collection of newspaper clippings, articles, photographs, and related materials describing the history and develowment of the history of Vanderbilt Univiersity School of Medicine and Hospital. Materials are arranged chronologially and cover major events related to the development of the institution from its origins with the University of Nashville, to around 2010.

This collection consists of materials (1893-present) from the Vanderbilt Woman's Club. It contains correspondence, record books and notebooks, directories, newsletters, minutes and reports for board meetings, constitution and by- laws and revisions of those, photographs and photograph albums, and a few items of memorabilia.

Scope and Contents This .42 linear feet collection contains a total of 254 images. There are 142 [8x10] black and white images of student activities from the 1949-1950 academic year. There are 16 [8x10] numbered contact sheets of campus buildings, all identified, for a total of 65 images. And, there are four oversized contact sheets [10x12] of fraternity houses, reunion 1950, and commencement 1952, unidentified, for a total of 47 images. Abstract

A small collection consisting primarily of papers on women's history written by students in a history class taught by Professor Barbara Weinstein in Fall 1981 called "Women at Vanderbilt". Altogether there are 13 research papers. This collection also includes a course syllabus and selected readings for the class, as well as newspaper articles relevant to the topics studied.
