The physical materials from this collection may be viewed only in the reading room of Vanderbilt’s Special Collections and University Archives. Biographical / Historical
John “Jack” Felton Corn, Jr. (1929-2025), son of Mary Ruth Hill and John Felton Corn, Sr., was born on 14 January 1929 in Nashville, Tennessee. He worked as a staff photographer for The Tennessean for over twenty years and then served as a photojournalism professor at Western Kentucky University from 1976 to 1984. From 1984 to 1991, he was the director of photography at The Chicago Tribune. Corn then served as a professor-in-residence at Western Kentucky University until he retired in 1995. Corn died in Millersville, Tennessee on 1 July 2025.
