The Peabody Education Fund Collection includes correspondence (1881-1918), subject files pertaining to the establishment and growth of the fund, pamphlets on education, and the proceedings of the trustees (1870-1907). The collection is 5 linear feet, and about half of the collection is correspondence. Major topics of interest include the establishment of the Peabody Education Fund, the early years of the Peabody Normal College/George Peabody College, education, and rural elementary schools.
