Vanderbilt photo identifier: SC.MSS.088.TITI.0418; Public Notes: The caption on the photograph includes the following: "16901 - ESCURIALE - S. Girolamo - Tiziano - Sale Capitolari - Anderson, Roma" This caption may be attributing the work to the chapter house of the monastery at Escuriale, the historic residence of the King of Spain.

The print was originally within a folder labeled "signed work c. 1552" (opera firmata) and includes the handwritten note dating the work 1560 on the back.
