Abstract

This collection contains approximately 175 items from the personal papers of Rabbi Moshe Ottolenghi of Thessaloniki, Greece. This includes correspondence, sermons, eulogies, songs, poems, printed broadsides, and handwritten notebooks (primarily in Ladino, Hebrew, and Italian) that primarily date to the late 19th century.

Dates: 1792 - 1945; Majority of material found within 1885 - 1899

Lou Hackett Silberman Papers

Abstract

This collection contains the papers of Lou Hackett Silberman, longtime Hillel Professor of Jewish Literature and Thought at Vanderbilt University. Silberman also participated throughout his career in a variety of Hillel Foundation and other B'nai B'rith activities and was especially active in lecturing to various Jewish groups as well as in interreligious dialogue.
