Collection Scope and Content Summary
Personal papers of Hugh Jackson Morgan (1893-1961), Vanderbilt professor and chairman of the Department of Medicine, and Brigadier General in the Surgeon General's office during World War II. Materials include: personal papers (including letters written home during WWI), photographs, World War II army records, newspaper clippings, speeches, reprints, memoranda, and correspondence. Correspondents include: George Baehr, E. A. Park, Morris Fishbein, Thomas M. Rivers, George K. Strode, Arden Freer, and John S. Hunt. Collection also contains several audio tapes.
