Scope and Contents
The Ben Lucien Burman Papers consist of xeroxed material relating to three of his books: Blow a Wild Bugle for Catfish Bend, Look Down That Winding River, and The Sign of the Praying Tiger. Included are carbon typescripts, holograph copies, worksheets, first drafts, galley proofs and an incomplete synopsis. The Ben Lucien Burman Papers consist of two Hollinger boxes ( .834 linear feet).

Biographical Sketch
Ben Lucien Burman (1895-1984) was a Southern novelist and journalist born in Covington, KY. A graduate of Harvard University, he married Alice Caddy in 1927.
