Biographical / Historical
Harold Gladstone Lowe, Jr. (1933-2008), son of Katherine Estes Rice and Harold G. Lowe, Sr., was born on 3 August 1933. He attended Vanderbilt University and Sewanee. He worked as a photojournalist and documented the Civil Rights movement, among other significant events. In Nashville he worked for The Tennessean, Nashville Banner, WKRN, WSMV, and WTVF. He died in Nashville, Tennessee, on 27 August 2008.
