Biographical / Historical
Douglas A. Knight received his B.A. from Ottawa University (Kansas) in 1965, his M.Div. from California Baptist Theological Seminary in 1968, and his Dr.Theol. from Georg-August-Universität Göttingen in 1973. At Vanderbilt University, he was chair of the Graduate Department of Religion during 1999-2004 and co-director and senior fellow of the Center for the Study of Religion and Culture during 2003-2009. He retired in 2015.
