Biographical / Historical

Peter Crafts Hodgson was born on February 26, 1934, in Oak Park, Illinois. He received his AB in history from Princeton University in 1956, his BD from Yale University Divinity School in 1959, and his MA and PhD in religion from Yale University in 1960 and 1963. Hodgson, an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), taught at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, from 1963 to 1965 and at Vanderbilt University from 1965 to 2000. He published multiple articles and several books on Christianity, history, and theology.
