Biographical / Historical

Founded in 1972, The Nashville Model United Nations was an organization of colleges, which included Vanderbilt University, Fisk University, Peabody College, and Tennessee State University. The Nashville MUN held a conference every year, beginning in November of 1972, which developed into a major national event and annually attracted several hundred students and faculty members from colleges and universities across the United States. The conference itself simulated the structure and operations of the United Nations. This collection contains documents relating specifically to these conferences, and the business of these clubs in the 1970s, organized by date.
