Scope and Contents
The Ralph G. Morrissey Collection is largely composed of photographs of authors who were written about during Morrissey's tenure as a literary critic for the Nashville Tennessean. Ralph Morrissey took some of the photographs, and others were acquired through the book publishers. The majority of photographs are identified but are not dated with the actual date taken. Date references are the publication dates of a specific book (some press releases are attached). Dates are approximated from 1930-1956.

The physical materials from this collection may be viewed only in the reading room of Vanderbilt’s Special Collections and University Archives.
