Vanderbilt photo identifier: SC.MSS.088.FLEM.0742; Public Notes: This painting is one of several variants based on Van Dyck's painting "Charles I" (State Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg). Other sitters depicted in this same composition include Prince Henry, Lord Spencer, and the Earl of Lindsey. This piece once belonged to the Joseph Duveen Collection, New York.
