Scope and Contents

Vanderbilt photo identifier: SC.MSS.088.FLEM.0558; Public Notes: Our photograph shows a letter that reads "1501." Further restoration revealed that the letter originally read "1521." This date coincides with the artist's stay in Venice which in turn explains why the sitter is dressed in Venetian fashion.
