Scope and Contents
Vanderbilt photo identifier: SC.MSS.088.FLEM.0236; Public Notes: The piece was painted for Vicenzo Sauli for the abbey church of San Girolamodella Cervara near Genoa. These panels make up the lower half of a large altarpiece. The other panels (not photographed) can be found at the Musee du Louvre in Paris and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. A Crucifixion scene attached to this altarpiece can also be found at the Palazzo Bianco in Genoa.
