Polyptych of Saint Vincent Ferrer, This shows the bottom right scene from the predella of the Polyptych of Saint Vincent of Ferrer. The scene appears to show him in the midst of dying while on his deathbed. He is in the middle of the scene in a white garment with a long, black cloak over his head and back. A bishop reads out of a book and a monk beside him holds a swinging thurible. Monks frame either side of the small room, though none are shown behind the bed. Here there are two angels flying a nude male figure, presumably the saint's soul, up to an icon, presumably God the Father or a prophet. This is a basic record created to enable public access to scanned images. Full research on this image is pending., c.1456-1465
