Scope and Contents
Vanderbilt photo identifier: SC.MSS.088.BRES.0074; Public Notes: This piece was part of the Charles A. Loeser collection in Florence from 1870 until it was inherited by his daughter at an unknown date. In 1954, the painting was bought by Count Alessandro Contini-Bonacossi in Florence who sold the piece in the same year to Samuel H. Kress. It was then given as a gift to the National Gallery in 1961.
