Vanderbilt photo identifier: SC.MSS.088.DUTC.0624; Public Notes: From the National Gallery: Hermanna van der Cruis (1615 - 1705) was the wife of Abraham van Suchtelen (1600 - 61), a burgomaster of Deventer. There are three versions of this portrait. This one was probably painted in the second half of the 1660s. The identification of the sitter rests on an inscription on the reverse of another version, formerly in the collection of Viscount d'Abernon. The third version is now in Vienna (Kunsthistorisches Museum).
