Venus, Love, and Jealousy, The image focuses on the goddess Venus with Cupid beside her and two infants on her other side. The full portrait of the reclining Venus shows her nude. She looks off the viewer's left. Cupid is nude as well, and holds a bow pointing downward in his left hand while taking a new arrow with his right. Venus holds an arrow in the opposite direction of Cupid, toward one of the two small, nude children beside her on the left. They seem to be unaware of the situation. Though the figures seem to be in relaxed postures, the masks behind Cupid and at Venus's feet give indications of the many emotions within the scene, mostly that of jealousy and desire, shown by grimaces and pointed gazes.
