Battle of the Orlando and Rodomonte, This painting depicts a scene from Ariosto's epic poem Orlando Furioso. In Canto XXIX, lines 39-48, the naked Orlando comes to fight for the love of Angelica. In the bottom right corner, he attacks Rodomonte, the Saracen king of Algiers, who wears a suit of armor. The two men wrestle.
