John L. Shapiro Papers

Abstract Personal papers of pathologist, Vanderbilt alumnus and Vanderbilt professor John L. Shapiro. The collection consists of notebooks containing material (case histories) from Clinico-Pathology conferences (CPC) at VUMC, some with Shapiro's handwritten notes. The CPCs were one of Dr. Shapiro's major instructional techniques. The cases usually precede the conference dates by three to fifteen years. These dates are for the conferences.
