WSM Radio and Television Collection
The WSM Radio & TV collection is composed of correspondence, photographs, scripts of radio programs, and promotional material. It is stored in thirteen manuscript boxes, eight of which contain scripts of radio programs. Dates of the collection range from 1928 to 1966 with a large portion of the material dated in the 1940s.
WWII Homefront Diary
This collection contains a 5-Year diary written by a North Carolina woman in the Raleigh area at the outset of WWII. She details an active life marked by frequent car trips, bridge club meetings, and duties around the home.
Alvin York Collection
The Alvin York Collection is comprised one linear feet of artifacts. The materials are some of York's personal household items as well as a New Testament and scrapbook.
John B. Youmans Papers
Personal papers of Vanderbilt professor of medicine and nutritionist John B. Youmans (1893-1979). Materials include: correspondence, biographical material; financial records; student notebooks; manuscripts; reports; reprints; and files concerning Surgeon General's Office, Rockefeller Foundation Nutrition Surveys, Far East Nutrition Surveys, and ICNND Surveys.

Manuel Zapata Olivella Papers
This collection contains the papers of Zapata Olivella, noted Afro-Colombian novelist, anthropologist, folklorist, physician and playwright who was known throughout Latin America as the “Dean of Black Hispanic Writers.” The collection provides a unique window on the history and society of Colombia and on people of African descent in the Americas as a whole.

Finding aids describe the context, arrangement, and structure of archival materials, allowing users to identify and request materials relevant to their research.
Requesting Materials
Each finding aid contains a link to request materials from the collections. Collections can also be requested by emailing the repository directly through the library website. Each repository has its own location, hours, and contact information. Please consult the repository with questions about using the materials. Collections are non-circulating and must be used in the repository’s reading room. In many cases, the collections are stored off-site and require advance notice for retrieval.
