Overview An account book belonging to Santiago Arroyo, of Popayán, Colombia. Entries begin on Apr. 28, 1808, and continue sporadically until Sept. 12, 1843. The book profiles his (and his spouse's) business interests, their hacienda Guazavara, and their gold mines, and includes various personal outlays to members of his extended family, which included most of the social and political ruling class of southern Colombia, and business associates.
