Abstract

The John J. Tigert IV Collection consists of the papers of college administrator John James Tigert IV (1882-1965), the papers of philosophy professor and Methodist Bishop John James Tigert III (1856-1906), and the papers of Vanderbilt University co-founder and Methodist Bishop Holland Nimmons McTyeire (1824-1889).
