Jack Allen Collection
The Jack Allen Collection is an accumulation of Allen’s productive life as an educator at George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville, Tennessee. The collection comprises five linear feet relating to Jack Allen’s career and writings.
Mabel Beck Collection
This collection contains three letters from November-December 1910 sent home by Mabel Beck, a student at Peabody College.
Charles Faulkner Bryan Collection
This collection contains materials relating to Charles Faulkner Bryan and it includes photocopies of correspondence between Bryan and Donald Davidson, with whom he collaborated on the musical Singin’ Billy. Also in this collection is sheet music of pieces by Bryan and includes the Songs for Children Series, the Bell Witch Secular Folk Cantata, Tennessee Folk Songs and other music by Bryan.
Brainard Bartwell Cheney and Frances Neel Cheney Papers
This collection contains the papers of Brainard Bartwell Cheney and Frances Neel Cheney. Major topics of interest include multiple versions of Brainard Cheney’s novels, the Pine Barrens and Rivers of Southeastern Georgia, materials relating to the Cheney’s friendships with many of the Fugitive/Agrarian writers, Brainard Cheney’s interest in Catholicism, Tennessee Politics in the late 1940’s and 1950’s, race relations and civil rights, Library Science and reference services.
Betty E. Clark Collection
This .21 linear feet collection contains 33 items of which 25 are photographs. The materials are related to student life at George Peabody College. The collection is arranged by subject.
Alfred Leland Crabb/William Rodney Cline Collection
This collection consists primarily of the correspondence from 1933-1979 between Alfred Leland Crabb and William Rodney Cline, his former doctoral student at George Peabody College for Teachers. Found within this collection are letters from Mildred Cline to Bertha Crabb and a few miscellaneous letters from the Crabbs and Clines to others. Rodney Cline’s autobiography and his family history are a part of the collection as well as some Cline family photos and mementoes.
Alfred Leland Crabb Papers
This collection contains Alfred Leland Crabb’s works and correspondences from 1910 to 1970. The first part covers correspondences with faculty, friends and publishing companies from 1925 to 1970. Crabb mainly worked with the Bobbs-Merrill Publishing Company and the Johnson Publishing Company.
Douglas P. Davis Collection
This collection contains two typed copies of the essay Recollections of the Early History of Peabody College by Douglas P. Davis, and two cassette tapes of the same essay. It also contains an appendix to the essay, a magazine ad, and correspondence.
Herbert Drennon Collection
This is collection of papers of Herbert Drennon, Vanderbilt graduate (M.A. 1917) and professor of English. He was a longtime professor of English and Head of the English department at Mississippi State University (1938-1961).
Ethel Mary Ervin Collection
This .21 linear foot collection contains one three-ring binder with 27 pieces of original correspondence, with a transcription and photocopies. Also included are notes of recommendation, programs, and student cards. Ethel Mary “Dot” wrote most of the letters with the last letter being written by her younger brother, Albert Goode Ervin, Jr. “Budy” when he was 12 years old. “Lily” is the nickname of her mother, Elizabeth Ervin.

Gerd Fraenkel Collection
This collection contains material from Dr. Gerd Fraenkel, professor of English and Linguistics at George Peabody College in the 1960s and 1970s. Most of the materials concern Fraenkel's research into linguistics and various world languages.
