Allen S. Eskind World War II Papers
This Collection is .21 linear feet and includes Allen Eskind’s WWII Journal in fifteen chapters and his official correspondence during his time of service with the U.S. Navy. A photograph album in electronic digitized format that documents his Naval tour of duty during the second World War will be available online at the Vandy Goes to War: World War II Remembered website.
Ernest W. Goodpasture Papers
J. León Helguera Collection of Colombiana
This collection contains numerous manuscripts, legal documents, publications, and photographs collected by J. León Helguera about Latin America and Colombia, specifically. The bulk of the collection dates from the 1700s-1800s.
John B. Lomax Collection
This collection contains 54 photographs documenting the African-American soldiers of the 3067 Quartermaster Salvage Collecting Company in training in Wyoming during WWII, with almost all of the photographs annotated with humorous remarks and identifications of the images. There is also a photostatic copy of discharge papers.
World War I and World War II Pamphlet and Newspaper Collection
The World War I and II Pamphlet Collection has been arranged chronologically. There are seven items published during the First World War with the bulk of the collection containing newspapers and magazines from World War II published in the United States by servicemen stationed at bases across the country.
ROTC-Navy Photograph Collection
This collection contains a deconstructed scrapbook of photographs of ROTC-Navy at Vanderbilt Univerity from the years 1966-1970.
Albert S. Thompson, Collection
This collection contains research reports that were funded by the National Research Council, during World War II.
