Francis Craig Collection
The Francis Craig Collection contains material ranging in date from 1919 to 1994 and makes up 2.51 linear feet. The papers include personal and biographical information, correspondence, memorabilia, and photographs. The major portion of the collection, however, dates from the 1930’s and 1940’s and consists of clippings, sheet music, and recordings.
Denna Frank Fleming Papers
The papers of Denna F. Fleming include material from several areas of his life and work - those of teacher, writer, political scientist, and concerned citizen. They cover the years 1930-1974.
Julian Goodman Papers
This collection is comprised of the personal and corporate papers including photographs, audio visual material, and memorabilia of Julian Goodman who was both President and Chairman of the Board of NBC (the National Broadcasting Company) from 1966 until his retirement in May of 1979. The dates of these papers range from 1941-1996, with the majority of the material in the 34 year period that Goodman worked for NBC (1945-1979).
Gowthorpe, Montague Collection
The Montague F. Gowthorpe Opera Collection was created by Montague F. Gowthorpe during his time as the chairman of the Detroit Symphony and one of the original vice-presidents at Paramount Pictures. The collection, consisting of 200 reel-to-reel tapes recorded from radio broadcasts, along with 48 libretto books to accompany the recordings, reflects his lifetime passion for opera.
Grand Ole Opry Collection
This collection, donated in 1967 by Jesse Wills, is composed of a wide variety of items of historical and musical interest, including songbooks, correspondence, photographs, and other unique items. As president of National Life and Accident Insurance Company, the parent company of WSM, Inc. and the Grand Ole Opry, Wills had access to a wide variety of material associated with country music in general and the Grand Ole Opry in particular.

John Lark Taylor Papers
The John Lark Taylor Papers contain correspondence, plays and original music by Taylor, photographs, promptbooks, playbills, radio scripts, and other stage and radio memorabilia spanning 1879 to 1944.
WSM Radio and Television Collection
The WSM Radio & TV collection is composed of correspondence, photographs, scripts of radio programs, and promotional material. It is stored in thirteen manuscript boxes, eight of which contain scripts of radio programs. Dates of the collection range from 1928 to 1966 with a large portion of the material dated in the 1940s.

Requesting Materials
Each finding aid contains a link to request materials from the collections. Collections can also be requested by emailing the repository directly through the library website. Each repository has its own location, hours, and contact information. Please consult the repository with questions about using the materials. Collections are non-circulating and must be used in the repository’s reading room. In many cases, the collections are stored off-site and require advance notice for retrieval.
