Grantland Rice Papers
The Papers of Grantland Rice (1905-1966) are comprised of 19.26 linear feet and include his Writings, Correspondence, Personal and Biographical Materials, Photographs, Subject Files, Souvenirs, and Memorabilia.
Ruling Stooge Newspaper
This collection contains the first issue of the ‘Ruling Stooge’ newspaper which is dated October 3, 1948.
Note that people, letters, articles, and advertisements relate to the year 1968.
Kathy Sawyer Papers
John Seigenthaler Papers
This collection contains the papers of John Seigenthaler, journalist, writer, and longtime editor of The Tennessean. Seigenthaler was a prominent advocate for First Amendment rights and founded the First Amendment Center at Vanderbilt University. Seigenthaler also worked for Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy and was a longtime friend of the Kennedy family.
James D. Squires Papers
The James D. Squires (1943-) papers were donated to Vanderbilt University in 2005 and encompass his careers as a journalist and editor, as a political adviser, and as an author. The Nashville native graduated from Peabody College in 1966 and started his journalism career at the Tennessean.
James G. Stahlman Papers
Cornelius Vanderbilt, IV Papers
The Cornelius Vanderbilt IV Papers, 1897-1974, include correspondence, manuscripts of writings, lecture materials, reviews of his books and film, personal papers, legal and business documents, photographs, newspaper clippings, and scrapbooks of his various writing and lecture projects. The forty-five boxes of the collection cover approximately 26.03 linear feet.
