William J. Griffin Papers
This collection is composed of one Hollinger box with thirteen folders contained within. The collection is primarily composed of research papers from Griffin’s peers in other universities, as well as research cards to said papers. Additionally, there is research on Peabody College by Griffin himself. Finally, correspondence to Griffin can also be found.

Tinsley Randolph Harrison, Sr. (1900-1978) biographical file
Biographical file includes several photographs, negatives, news and magazine clippings, recollections, academic papers, correspondence, Harrison papers collection inventory, convocation program, and other biographical information.
Andrew and Mattie Haun Papers
This small collection of two Hollinger boxes (.84 linear feet) contains correspondence and personal and biographical materials relating to Andrew Jacob Haun and Mattie Francis Oliver Haun, aunt and uncle of the southern writer Mildred E. Haun, whose papers are also held by Special Collections in the Vanderbilt University Library
Sara Holroyd World War II and George Peabody College for Teachers Collection
This small collection (.42 linear feet ) contains letters, programs, and newspaper clippings collected by Sara Holroyd, a 1946 graduate of George Peabody College for Teachers. (Peabody merged Vanderbilt University in 1979.). Ms. Holroyd was a student leader and a musician while at Peabody, and many of the programs feature her as a student musician. This collection also chronicles the end of WWII and activities at Peabody College during that time.

Margaret "Peggy" Layne Collection
This collection contains a deconstructed binder containing clippings and correspondence related to women's athletics at Vanderbilt and Title IX in Tennessee dated 1976-1980. Also included is ephemera related to Peggy Layne's track career at Vanderbilt.
Avery Leiserson Papers
This collection is 3.34 linear feet, 8 Hollinger boxes which consist of correspondence, articles and book reviews by Avery Leiserson as well as materials relating to his academic career at the University of Chicago (1946 -1952) and at Vanderbilt University (1952 -1978). Other series in this collection include reprints, book reviews, magazine and newspaper articles written by others. The materials cover the years 1936 until his death in 2004.

This site contains collection guides, or finding aids, to the archival collections held by Vanderbilt University Special Collections and University Archives, the History of Medicine Collection, and the Scarritt Bennett Center. Finding aids describe the context, arrangement, and structure of archival materials, allowing users to identify and request materials relevant to their research.
Requesting Materials
Each finding aid contains a link to request materials from the collections. Collections can also be requested by emailing the repository directly through the library website. Each repository has its own location, hours, and contact information. Please consult the repository with questions about using the materials. Collections are non-circulating and must be used in the repository’s reading room. In many cases, the collections are stored off-site and require advance notice for retrieval.
