Biographical / Historical
David C. White was a Methodist missionary, from the U.S., having first served in Chile (1946-1950), then in Cuba from 1952-1960. From there, he was a professor at Scarritt College in Nashville, TN (1960-1977) and also taught at seminaries in Bolivia (1968), the Fiji Islands (1978-1980), Mexico (1981- 1982) and Australia. He was granted his Ph.D. in philosophy (Drew University, 1958), presenting a dissertation on “The Historical Reason in the Thought of Jose Ortega y Gasset.”
