Biographical / Historical

Scarritt College was founded in 1892 in Kansas City, Missouri. Scarritt Bible and Training School moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1924 and was renamed Scarritt College for Christian Workers. Scarritt College Student Publications, beginning in 1925 included Student Handbooks (1925-1987), Life Sharer (December 1930 – Winter 1954) , Scarritt Voice (1932 – 1958), Welcome to Scarritt (1950’s), Pause For Power (1945-1955), The Revised Standard Vision (1970), KOINANIA (1971), Scarritt Bulletin (1966-1987), Scarritt Reporter (1961-1966), Day By Day (1972-1973), Oasis (1962), The Scroll (1974-1981), As the Quad Turns (1975-1977), and Tower Lights (1962).
