Historical or Biographical Note

Dr. David HittWilliams Knoxville, physician and wealthy financier, graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1884 before receiving his medical degree from Bellevue Hospital Medical College in New York in 1888. He was born in Alabama on July 7, 1863 and died in Knoxville in October 1, 1929.
