Historical or Biographical Note
Arthur Schulert, Ph.D., received his M.S. from Princeton University while serving on the Manhattan Project and his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. He did medical research at New York University, Columbia University, and the Navy/Medical Research Unit in Cairo, Egypt, before joining the Vanderbilt University Medical School biochemistry faculty in 1966. In 1970, Schulert founded the Environmental Science Corporation, where he served as president and CEO.
