Historical or Biographical Note
Robert Allan Neal, Ph.D., earned his B.S. degree from the University of Denver in 1949 and his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in 1963. Neal became an assistant professor of Biochemistry at Vanderbilt in 1964, rising to the rank of associate professor by 1969. He has since been named a Professor Emeritus of Biochemistry.
