Historical or Biographical Note
Ammon Buist Litterer graduated from Vanderbilt Medical School in 1923. He did postgraduate work in skin diseases at the New York Skin and Cancer Hospital. He began practicing in Florida in 1925. Dr. Litterer was a past president of the Florida State Dermatological Association. During World War II, he served as a captain in the Navy.
