Historical or Biographical Note
M. Glenn Koenig graduated from Oberlin College and received his M.D. from Cornell University in 1957. Joining the university from Cornell in 1960, he served as Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Director of the Division of Infectious Diseases. Koenig's research has been recognized by his receiving a Research Career Development Award from the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, as well as by his election to numerous academic societies.
