Historical or Biographical Note
Dr. Alan Glick earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees at Vanderbilt, graduating from the university in 1965 and from the School of Medicine in 1969. After an internship in Pathology at New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center, and a two-year stint as a staff associate at the National Institutes of Health, Glick returned to Vanderbilt in 1972 to work as an assistant resident in Pathology. He spent the remainder of his professional career there, earning the appointment of Associate Professor. Glick also had appointment as a consultant at the Nashville Veterans Administration Medical Center. He passed away from a heart attack in 1995.
