Historical or Biographical Note

Henry Coppolillo, M.D., is a native of Italy. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois in 1948 and earned his M.D. from the University of Rome in 1955. Coppolillo joined the staff at Vanderbilt University, serving as Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the Division of Child Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University from 1971 to 1976. At the time of his passing in 2008, Coppolillo was Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at the Colorado University School of Medicine.
