Historical or Biographical Note

Col. Wibb Earl Cooper was manager of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, from 1946 until his retirement in 1995. He earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University in 1907 and was awarded the university's Founder's Medal. Cooper served in the Tennessee National Guard Medical Corps, the Army Medical Corps, and was a decorated veteran of both World War I and World War II.
