Historical or Biographical Note
Stephen S. Feman received his B.A. degree in 1962 at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and his M.D. in 1966 at the University of Pennsylvania. Feman conducted his internships and residency at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston and at UCLA/Jules Stein Institute. He came to Vanderbilt University in 1978 as Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and was promoted to Professor of Ophthalmology in 1988.
