Historical or Biographical Note
Dennis P. Devito received B.S. degrees in Zoology and Psychology from Duke University (1976) and his M.D. from Washington University School of Medicine (1980). He conducted his internship and residencies at Duke University in General/Thoracic Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery, and his fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery took place at the Children's Hospital Medical Center at Harvard University. Devito became Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Vanderbilt University in 1987.
