Biographical / Historical

Danny Elton McCollum served as Coordinator of Access Services and oversaw the operation of the Document Delivery Service at the Eskind Biomedical Library. Having a varied background of knowledge and experience, he began his career at the Medical Center Library in 1987 where he worked in the Circulation Department before assuming the management of the Document Delivery (Interlibrary Loan) Department. He served in various roles of increasing responsibility culminating in his appointment as Coordinator of Access Services in 2017. He retired in 2020 and passed away October 13, 2021. He was very much liked and respected by his fellow staff members of the Eskind Library and his positive nature and gentle spirit was unique and was loved and appreciated by colleagues and patrons who knew him.
