Abstract
Collection of photographs, and images illustrating the history and growth of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Hospital through the buildings used to house it. Images are both interior and exterior views as well as aerial views of the Medical Center and adjacent Vanderbilt University campus. Materials are arranged chronologically and are in two distinct groupings. The first being interior and exterior views of buildings, and the second being aerial views of the medical campus and adjacent university campus.

Collection consists of mateirals that were gathered and maintained as part of the vertical file series of the History of Medicine Collection beginning in the 1970s and was used to assit in answering reference inquiries regarding the history of the institution.
Processing Information
Collection was started shortly after the formal establishemnt of the History of Medicine Collection in 1977 and have been maintained and added to since that time- the bulk of materials being added prior to 2010.
