Biographical / Historical

Dr. Thomas Guv Pennington was graduate of Vanderbilt University in 1948, and a graduate of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1951. He completed his internship and residencies in both Internal Medicine and Allergy and Immunology at Cornell University Medical College in New York City. He returned to Nashville where he had a long and successful practice in internal medicine and allergy and immunology. He was a Clinical Professor of Medicine at both Vanderbilt University School of and University of Tennessee College of Medicine and also served as Chief of Medicine in the Vanderbilt Teaching Service. He died in Nashville on October 17, 2012.
