Biographical / Historical
James Allen Patton graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1996 with bachelor of science degree. He attended Vanderbilt and received his Ph. D. degree in Physics in 1972. His doctoral thesis resulted in a patent for the development of a tomographic imaging system. He remained at Vanderbilt and started his work at the medicxal center in the Division of Neuclear Medicine and Biophysics and in the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
