Dr. Marie-Claire Orgebin-Crist was born on March 20, 1936 in Vannes, France and went to License Natural Sciences, License Biology, Sorbonne, University Paris, 1957. D. Sciences, Lyons University, France, 1961.

She started her career as Stagiaire department biochemistry faculty medicine, Paris, France, 1957-1958; stagiaire, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, Paris, 1958-1960; attachee de recherche, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, Paris, 1960-1962; research associate, Population Council (Medical Division), New York City, 1962-1963; research associate department ob/gyn, Vanderbilt School Medicine, 1963-1964; research instructor, Vanderbilt School Medicine, 1964-1966; assistant professor, Vanderbilt School Medicine, 1966-1970; associate professor, Vanderbilt School Medicine, 1970-1973; Lucius E. Burch professor reproductive biology, Vanderbilt School Medicine, since 1973; professor department anatomy, Vanderbilt School Medicine, since 1975; director, Vanderbilt School Medicine (Center Reproductive Biology Research.), since 1973. Editor-in-Chief Journal Andrology, 1983-1989.
