Biographical / Historical
Martin Katahn, who was known to his family and friends as Dick, was born in Utica, New York, in 1928. He enrolled at Syracuse University, where he earned both a master of arts and a doctorate in psychology in 1960 and 1962 respectively. He joined the Vanderbilt Department of Psychology in 1962 as an assistant professor. He is best known for his diet book entitled "The Rotation Diet."
